Festival Season

We celebrated the first day of summer yesterday, and although the weather didn’t quite convey this message, we are now in full sunshine mode, which of course means festival season! So get your wellies ready and your bags packed, as we give you a brief guide to some of the UK’s best festivals, along with some festival essentials.

Green Man Festival

Set in the breathtaking Brecon Beacons in Wales, The Green Man Festival offers spellbinding musicians, fields of freedom and feasts galore! Confirmed artists on the line up this year include the likes of Belle & Sebastian, James Blake and Laura Marling.

Along with the music, there are some excellent comedy performances literature pieces and film screenings.

Somerset House Summer Series

Wanting to stay closer to home? Then look no further than the Somerset House Summer Series. Although not techically a ‘festival’, this will tick the boxes for the music, and the atmosphere. Set in one of London’s most iconic landmarks, this year it returns with an impressive line-up of headline acts and emerging artists.

British Summer Time

BST is back – bigger and better. Not only is there a variety of star studded performances from the likes of Take That, Florence and the Machine and Steve Wonder (to name a few!), but there will be an ‘open house’ occuring from Monday 4th-Thursday 7th July. During which, guests will be able to watch films at open-air movie nights, watch the tennis, and sample delicious street food.
